Introduction of laser coding for application of 2D barcodes to medical device products

To ensure compliance with new GS1 barcoding requirements for medical devices we have purchased 2 laser coders for applying 2D barcodes and human readable data on to the base of cans.

The new coders will be installed on our aerosol and bag on valve medical device production lines in October.

The laser coders ensure a high quality 2D barcode is applied to every product we manufacture and, by placing the code on the base of the can, minimises or eliminates changes in product artwork for our customers.

This is part of our continuing investment plans at Hydrokem.
